Consumer Health Toolkits: Providing the Right Tools at the Right Time to Empower Consumers, a June 15, 2005 audio conference on CD-ROM, provides insight on how healthcare organizations are using toolkits to empower consumers to make more informed healthcare decisions.

In this age of healthcare consumerism, healthcare organizations need to ensure that consumers are given the right information at the right time to make educated decisions about their healthcare. Research by Consumers Medical Resource has shown that consumers who have information change behavior. Organizations are providing a number of tools to help consumers become more empowered to take responsibility for their own healthcare. Toolkits come in many shapes and sizes including: general health information; health risk assessments; individual risk education tools and action plans; condition specific treatment alternatives; access to nurse coaches and health interventions; provider pricing and quality information; medical history/record; and treatment cost estimators.

During this 90-minute audio conference on CD-ROM, we examine the types of consumer health toolkits that are available and how they can help empower healthcare consumers.

Your expert panel of speakers, Erin Lenox, associate, Hilb Rogal & Hobbs, Tracy J. Mungeam, managing consultant, Hilb Rogal & Hobbs, and John Mills, director, product development, HIP Health Plans, will address:

  • Using consumer health toolkits to empower healthcare consumers;
  • Reviewing components of health toolkits;
  • Creating personalized approaches to toolkits;
  • Driving adoption of toolkits; and
  • Evaluating return on investment.

You can "attend" this program right in your office and enjoy significant savings – no travel time or hassle; no hotel expenses. It’s so convenient! Invite your staff members to listen to this conference.
