 Description

HIPAA Security Auditing and Monitoring: Creating, Building and Testing a Strategy To Ensure Your Organization's Compliance, a September 21st audio conference on CD-ROM, covers what the security rule requires for audits and what steps your organization should take to establish an effective HIPAA security auditing program.

One of the requirements of the HIPAA security rule is auditing of each organization’s compliance. Since HIPAA compliance is an ongoing process, it requires ongoing monitoring.

During this 90-minute audio conference on CD-ROM, our speakers provide a high-level overview of HIPAA security auditing, describing what organizations need to consider when starting an auditing program and how to conduct an ongoing successful compliant auditing process.

Our expert panel includes:

  • Chris Apgar, CISSP, Principal, Apgar & Associates;
  • Mikel Lynch, Privacy Officer with the University of Missouri

You'll get details on:

  • How to create an effective security audit program;
  • Where to start the audit program development process;
  • The importance of cultural change and senior management buy-in;
  • what to audit, how often to audit;
  • what to maintain and for how long;
  • how to perform audits;
  • the types of audits; and
  • mining the data from audits.

Here's what participants said about the live audio conference:

"Very informative, great speakers!," said Kelley Suskie, administrator with the Department of Pathology, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences

"Packed with sound information," according to a network analyst with a 900 bed hospital in the Midwest

"This was the first audio conference I have heard in sometime that got right to the point and had practical suggestions and comments for real-life situations we as compliance officers face every day," said Deanna E. Brown, HIPAA Compliance Officer with the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences

You can "attend" this program right in your office and enjoy significant savings – no travel time or hassle; no hotel expenses. It’s so convenient! Invite your staff members to listen to the CD-ROM.

Who Will Benefit from this audio-conference?

CEOs, privacy officers, security officers, information technology executives, HIPAA team leaders, compliance officers, business development and strategic planning directors.
