Frank Ruelas, MBA
As the compliance officer for Gila River Health Care Corporation (GRHCC), Frank Ruelas’ responsibilities include the administration of all organizationally-based efforts undertaken to comply with the HIPAA regulations. Ruelas began his career with GRHCC after receiving his M.B.A. from Arizona State University.
Ruelas is a member of several local, state, and national organizations and is often invited to speak on issues related to corporate compliance and compliance program implementation. Recently, Ruelas’ focus has been directed to providing risk assessment assistance to those covered entities moving towards completing their assessments by the HIPAA security regulations deadline. By doing so, the established communication network between GRHCC and covered entities both inside and outside of Arizona provides a venue for compliance officers to share with one another their ideas and insight in complying with HIPAA.
