Like most population health management initiatives, health coaching programs are facing increased bottom line scrutiny.
Health coaching programs need to demonstrate on a variety of levels the positive impact and return on investment their programs will have
from a financial and clinical perspective. Structuring an effective ROI calculation is key to the ongoing success of health coaching
initiatives.
Listen to pre-conference comments from Borgstadt and Hurlbert.
During Health Coaching ROI Metrics and Measurements, a 90-minute webinar on CD-ROM,
an expert panel of speakers described the types of metrics that can and should be used when evaluating the effectiveness of both health coaching programs and individual health coaches.
Ted Borgstadt, founder and chairman of TrestleTree Inc., and Darcy Hurlbert, health and wellness product specialist at
Ceridian LifeWorks, provided the inside details on:
- Establishing metrics to measure the effectiveness of health coaching programs;
- Sample measures for clinical targets, operational performance targets, engagement rates, financial outcomes, utilization and member and
provider satisfaction;
- Designing quality assessments for individual health coaches; and
- Lessons learned in ROI calculations.
