Health Plan Quality Improvement: Building and Monitoring an Effective Program, a July 20, 2005 audio conference on CD-ROM, provides details on health plan quality improvement (QI) programs and results from such initiatives.

Click here to listen to some comments from our audio conference presenters.

Health plans are using QI programs to improve the effectiveness and access/availability of the care that they provide and increase the satisfaction of members with the type of care that they receive -- all of which can have a bottom line impact.

During this 60-minute audio conference on CD-ROM, we examine the types of QI programs that health plans are implementing and the results that these programs can yield.

Dan Styf, director of learning and innovation, Alliance of Community Health Plans, will address:

  • Overview of initiatives in QI programs;
  • QI department structure;
  • Results from QI initiatives;
  • Developing, auditing and reviewing a QI work plan; and
  • Getting physicians to follow QI guidelines.

You can "attend" this program right in your office and enjoy significant savings – no travel time or hassle; no hotel expenses. It’s so convenient! Invite your staff members to listen in.

Here's what participants said about the live conference:

"We learned some new strategies that may be applied at our company," said Bridget Hastedt, data specialist, medical informatics at Health Plus

"Very informative," said Ronnie McComb, quality improvement coordinator with Sun Health

"Very useful and gave some new ideas as well as confirmed our current processes," said Sharon Brooks, quality coordinator with Columbia United Providers. "Great summary and overview of how to set up a QI program and necessary components for initiating QI process improvements."
