    James Hosking, FAAHC, FHIMSS, CHE is a Managing Director with TriBrook Healthcare Consultants, a business unit of American Express Tax & Business Services where he leads the healthcare facilities and equipment planning practice.

    With over 30 years healthcare experience in operations-focused and strategy-based facilities planning, Mr. Hosking has worked with over 400 clients across the United States on over $3 billion of construction. Mr. Hosking is a frequent speaker and author on healthcare facility planning topics.

    Recent speaking engagements include presentations to the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Society of Healthcare, American Association of Healthcare Consultants and the Symposium for Healthcare Design. He is a fellow of American Association of Healthcare Consultants and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society as well as a Diplomat in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

    Dr. Peter Kongstvedt is a leader in the international consulting firm of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (CGE&Y). CGE&Y has one of the largest health care consulting practices in the world. Based in the firm's Vienna, VA office, Dr. Kongstvedt serves as one of the key leaders of the managed care practice. His client work includes such activities as development of strategic direction and tactical planning, assessment of overall operational capabilities, creation of portfolios for operational improvements, product design, and strategic planning.

    In addition to working with the firm’s larger clients, Dr. Kongstvedt serves as a thought leader on managed care for the firm, and is a frequent speaker, as well as the author of numerous articles for health care and consumer publications. Dr. Kongstvedt is the primary author and thought leader behind several innovative monographs for the firm, including strategies for dealing with the top issues facing managed care executives today, new methods for strategic planning in chaotic health care environments, leadership in complexly adapting environments, and a new method for describing health care market places. He is also the primary researcher behind CGE&Y’s groundbreaking studies of managed care operations, studies that have compiled nearly 900 measures of performance, including the detection of process correlations and the compilation of best operational practices.

    Dr. Kongstvedt has over 20 years of operational leadership and experience at the senior most levels in progressively larger managed care organizations. In these leadership roles, he has specialized in turning around troubled organizations, defining and achieving strategic goals, conceiving and executing new products, creating and installing new reimbursement methodologies, and developing innovative approaches to care management and health plan operations.
