The Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit (Part D) 2005 is a one volume publication prepared in response to the Medicare Part D Final Rules issued by CMS on January 28th, 2005. It contains background, history of the regulations and explanations cross-referenced with the Medicare Part D Final Regulation.
This 750 page book contains 150 pages of detailed explanations of the regulations implementing the Prescription Drug Benefit under Part D of the Medicare Program, the full text of the Final Rule as it was printed in the Federal Register on January 28, 2005, and 150 pages of appendix material that has several documents from CMS on the prescription drug benefit including: draft instructions on completing the Medicare prescription drug plan bid for 2006, the application to be a prescription drug provider for 2006, other forms necessary for application to the program, and CMS's technical papers on the prescription drug benefit.
