Pay for Performance: Improving Clinical and Financial Outcomes, a June 10th audio conference available on CD-ROM, addresses how health plans can improve the quality of healthcare through pay for performance (P4P) programs.

Driven by the Institute of Medicine report that found that there was little correlation between healthcare reimbursement systems and improvements in the quality of healthcare, there is a growing movement in the healthcare industry to align financial incentives with improved outcomes.

During this 90-minute audio conference, our speakers address how pay for performance programs can improve clinical and financial outcomes in healthcare.

Our expert panel includes:

  • Geoffrey B. Baker, President, Med-Vantage, Inc.
  • Dr. Nicholas Bonvicino, Senior Medical Director, Clinical Network Management, Horizon-Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey
  • Mark Xistris, Director of Provider Relations & Health Information, The Alliance

You'll get details on:

  • trends in P4P;
  • getting physician buy-in;
  • components of a successful program;
  • transitioning P4P programs to an open access environment;
  • overcoming the common obstacles to P4P;
  • Steps in the process of building a performance based reimbursement (PBR) program;
  • Sources of measures for use in PBR; and
  • what other purchasers are doing.

Here's what participants said about our live program:

"Level of detail was appropriate...Good overview with relevant examples and outcomes," said Peter Publow, Director - Product Development, Ascension Health, St. Louis, MI.

"The topic was relevant and I could offer the program to 10 staff at a low cost," said Christine Izui, Managing Director - Quality; Blue Cross Blue Shield

WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS AUDIO CONFERENCE?

CEOs, CFO, chief medical officers, chief nursing offices, medical directors, quality improvement executives, disease management directors, managers and coordinators, health plan executives, care management nurses, strategic planning directors, human resources executives, employer coalition executives and physician organizations.
