Holly D. Miller, M.D., MBA

Holly D. Miller, M.D., MBA has multiple responsibilities within the Division of Information Technology at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. As managing director of e-Cleveland Clinic; MyChart and MyMonitoring, Dr. Miller is responsible for the development and extension of the Cleveland Clinic Personal Health Record (PHR) called e-Cleveland Clinic: MyChart.

MyChart is fully integrated with the Cleveland Clinic Electronic Health Record (EHR) and provides patients with their personal medical information and health related services from the EHR. The MyMonitoring service enables patients to securely download medical device data remotely directly to the Cleveland Clinic EHR for their physicians to Monitor.

Dr. Miller shares responsibility for the development of clinical Internet strategy at the Cleveland Clinic and supports the development of e-health initiatives for e-Cleveland Clinic, the e-business organization of The Cleveland Clinic. She is an associate staff physician and practices in the department of General Internal Medicine.

Dr. Miller has over 9 years experience in medical informatics and is a frequent presenter at national meetings on healthcare and technology. She is active in healthcare informatics research, and is currently an investigator on three grants pertaining to the use of healthcare technology and the Internet for chronic disease management and health maintenance, which is one of her main areas of interest.

Dr. Miller, an American educated and trained physician, previously lived in Europe where she had multi-faceted experiences as a project manager in the Pharmaceutical Industry, leading phase III and IV research trials, and as the chief resident at the American Hospital of Paris. She completed her Master’s of Business Administration at one of the leading business schools in France.

Nancy Griest

Nancy Griest is vice president, medical group services, and chief information officer for Brown & Toland. Previously she was the corporate director of information technology at Brown & Toland.

Prior to joining Brown & Toland, Griest was a senior manager with First Consulting Group, where she worked with insurance companies, health plans, and provider organizations. Griest has 21 years of healthcare industry experience working in the hospital, third party administration, and consulting fields.

Griest earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Northwestern University and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
