Margaret Moore
Having supplemented coach training with live coaching demos for many years, Wellcoaches CEO Margaret Moore has found that the demos are more powerful than lectures in bringing to light essential coaching skills.

Margaret Moore is the founder and CEO of Wellcoaches Corporation, a strategic partner of the American College of Sports Medicine, which is building the new profession of wellness coach. Wellcoaches partners to deliver wellness coaching services to consumers, corporations, and health clubs. Wellcoaches has trained 2,000 coaches in the past four years.

Moore is a 17-year veteran of the biotechnology industry in the UK, France, Canada, and the USA. She served in executive marketing and business development roles in two multinational pharmaceutical companies (now part of AstraZeneca and Aventis), and as COO and CEO of two biotechnology companies, including the launch of a cancer biotechnology company that merged with publicly traded Medigene AG (Germany) in 2001.

Moore is the lead author of the Lippincott Williams & Wilkins Coaching Psychology Manual in press. Moore co-developed a Harvard Medical School CME program teaching physicians a basic coaching roadmap http://cmeonline.med.harvard.edu/course_descriptions.asp?Course_id=52 leading to the launch of an Institute of Lifestyle Medicine http://www.institutelifestylemedicine.net.

Moore is the lead or co-author of other publications including Principles of Behavioral Psychology in Wellness Coaching and Relational Flow: Theoretical Model for the Intuitive Dance (new theory of coaching psychology), and a white paper titled “The Obesity Epidemic: A Confidence Crisis calling for Professional Coaches http://www.wellcoaches.com/images/whitepaper.pdf.

Moore received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of Western Ontario and a Master of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business.
