Kim Bellard, Vice President of eMarketing, Highmark Inc.

Kim Bellard is Vice-President, eMarketing & CRM for Highmark Inc., a licensed affiliate of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. Joining Highmark in January 1999, Mr. Bellard’s primary responsibility is developing new generations of products and services for Highmark aimed at a consumer-driven market. He led the development of BlueChoice, the nation’s first fully online, customizable health insurance program. BlueChoice was introduced in May 2000, and continues to be expanded and enhanced. It is part of a broad consumer-centered product portfolio and strategy for which Mr. Bellard is responsible, which now includes BlueAccount, Highmark’s spending/savings account product. BlueAccount was first introduced in the spring of 2003 and has now been expanded to include BlueAccount HSA.

Mr. Bellard’s unit also developed and has ongoing responsibility for both the Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and the Pennsylvania Blue Shield websites. These include consumer, employer, and agent/visitor portals, and the corporate website. The various sites offer an industry-leading array of information and services to their respective constituents, and continue to be expanded and enhanced as part of Highmark’s strategy to move more services to the Internet.

Prior to joining Highmark, Mr. Bellard spent twenty years with Prudential HealthCare in a variety of roles. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Bowling Green State University.

Erin Lenox, Associate, Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs

Erin T. Lenox, MPH, CEBS is an Associate with Hilb Rogal & Hobbs. She provides consulting advice in the areas of healthcare strategy and design, principles of consumerism, targeted health management opportunities, pricing and contribution strategies, and behavioral health strategy and design.

Most recently, Ms. Lenox has assisted clients with the evaluation and implementation of consumer-driven healthcare plans. In addition, she has advised clients in the use of technology to manage the long-term cost of health and productivity programs, to effectively influence the behavior of employees and their dependents, and to facilitate value-based purchasing.

Ms. Lenox received her Bachelor’s degree at College of the Holy Cross and her Master’s of Public Health in Health Management from Yale University. Before joining Hilb Rogal & Hobbs, Ms. Lenox worked as a Consultant for Towers Perrin in the Boston Health & Welfare practice. She is currently a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) and a member of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists, the New England Employee Benefits Council, and the Massachusetts Health Data Consortium.
